SPIRITUAL ALLEGIANCE….FAITH ON TRIAL
“Then the princes, the governors, and captains, the judges, the treasurers, the counsellors, the sheriffs, and all the rulers of the provinces, were gathered together unto the dedication of the image that Nebuchadnezzar had set up..…And whoso falleth not down and worshippeth shall the same hour be cast into the midst of a burning fiery furnace.” (Daniel 3:3&7).
Idolatry is an elusive and subtle practice of worship. We unconsciously worship idols all the time. Every human being and symbol and every statue we honor is idolatry! Oh we call our actions by other names, such as, memorials, honors, tributes, awards, money, medals, degrees, trophies, family, national holidays and the obvious, statues and monuments. These are all forms of idolatry. But we don’t really relate our acknowledgments to these things as idolatry, but it is! Anything that we hold in reverence and honor is idolatry! However, the Lord has clearly stated in Exodus 20: “Thou shalt have no other gods before me.” (v.3). “Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.” (v.4). God is a Spirit and they that worship the Living God must worship the Lord in Spirit and in truth! We must worship God in our hearts and the outward results will present itself.
In the days of King Nebuchadnezzar, the king constructed a golden image to test the loyalty of his officials and administration. The king wanted everyone to kneel before a lifeless statue to prove their loyalty to him. However, there were three young Hebrew men whose faith was put on trial; due to this demonstration of the king’s obsession for complete domination over his subjects. In his arrogance, the king had decided to build a statue and demanded that everyone worship the statue that he built. All the provinces officials and high rating members of his administration, who were obviously afraid of the king and wanted to live, bowed down and worshiped the king’s idol. In clear rebellion to the king’s demand for loyalty, the three young men, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego refused to surrender their Spiritual Allegiance to Jehovah God, to honor the king’s lifeless and powerless idol. These three young men were devoted to their God and they were not going to denounce the Living God. They were loyal to the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and they refused to align themselves with a false god. They knew that if they bowed down and worshiped this idol, they would be pledging allegiance to demonic spirits and denying the Living God. Their faith in God was unshakable; and they would rather die in the fiery furnace rather than to dishonor the Creator of Heaven and Earth.
Consequently, fear was the weapon of choice. The death penalty was used to make so many yield to the king’s order to deny their Spiritual Allegiance to God. The fear of losing their life, family, status and money. This is always the tactic used to force people to abandon their faith. “And fear not them which kill the body, but are able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.” (Matthew 10:28). Many will betray each other due to fear. For instance, those who reported the three young men to the king. Because the king did not know the three men did not bow! Nonetheless, faith was the Sword that gave these young men the courage to stand and oppose idolatry. Their faith in God and their knowledge of God’s power, gave them the boldness to rebuke the king’s demand to denounce their Spiritual Allegiance to God. As a result, the young men were tossed into the fiery furnace with their faith in tact! In the midst of the fiery furnace the Lord joined them and rescued them and they were untouched. These young men were willing to die, not knowing if God would deliver them from the fire or not! They knew that God is God no matter what trials they had to face to prove their loyalty to their Creator. We as Christians must be prepared to stand when we are called to deny our faith in Jesus Christ. Our faith will be put on trial sooner than we care to acknowledge. We must continue to proclaim the Gospel of Salvation and our Lord Jesus Christ to the death!
Please don’t be deceived Church, the force of idolatry is the being ushered into the forefront to put our FAITH ON TRIAL. Soon it will be demanded of the Christian to deny Jesus Christ and not speak his name. The vice that will be used is fear and persecution. This demonic plot to remove Christianity has been in the making for a very long time. It’s a plan to change the hearts of God people and to reject our God and embrace the devil. We must review this matter with spiritual eyes in order to discern the truth. All this talk about standing, sitting, kneeling, barking, fetching, scratching and bowing is the plot to turn all of this to Christianity. It is a subtle way to put the spotlight on the Christian Doctrine and our walk with God. Don’t be deceived or in disbelief, the enemy of God is as subtle today as he was in the Garden of Eden.
I pledge Spiritual Allegiance, my heart and my faith, to the Kingdom of God and all of His righteousness. “My hope is built on nothing less, than Jesus blood and righteousness; I dare not trust the sweetest frame, but wholly lean on Jesus name. On Christ the Solid Rock I stand, all other ground is sinking sand, all other ground is sinking sand.” We must abandon all forms of idolatry and take notice that subtlety, no matter how slight, will eventually lead to the Mark of the Beast. We will have to take a firm stand like Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, to prove our devotion and Spiritual Allegiance to the True and Living God, Every Christian’s Faith is on Trial and will be called out. Stand and do all to stand in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord! Amen.
For the record, the message is for the Body of Christ. Stay true to Jesus Christ and endure until the end. God bless you and Amen!
