“Yet I have left me seven thousand in Israel, all the knees which have not bowed unto Baal, and every mouth which hath not kissed him.” (I Kings 19:18).

There was a time when I really concerned my heart with the state of the God’s people. As I grew in Christ, I witnessed the decaying of Christian ethics. Now it is very difficult to discern the Church ethics from the world’s ethics. The church has taken the salvation invitation: “Come As You Are” to a jaded place. People come as they are, and unfortunately “Stay As They Are”.  Disappointingly, the new members are not challenged to be regenerated to enter the kingdom of God.  They attend church services without ever being challenged to repent! These deprived souls believe they are accepted in Christ without repenting. They continue to live in sin because the worldly laws no longer hold people accountable for what was once called an abomination to God. Thereby, the church waives the transgression and moves right along, as if God is going to waive their sins! This use to disturb me so much because I thought, “What is going to happen to the Church?  God is Christianity going to be extinct?” But one day the Lord showed me something that changed my heart forever. He showed beautiful Christian families that had not been polluted by the world! It was like I was looking in a time capsule. These families were untainted by the world and they were centered and focused on God alone. It was then when I realized that God’s Church will never be extinct because GOD’S REMNANT is ready and has not bowed to worldly sin nor kissed fleshly corruption!

Elijah, like many devoted Christians, believed that he was the only one left who had not bowed to idols, nor kissed idols and denounced God. Elijah was wrong, and so are those of us, who think we are the only ones who have not bowed to worldly idols nor kissed the idols. Elijah did not know the wisdom of God. He thought God was so foolish as to depend solely on him, who was now on the run from Jezebel! There is only one man that God rested the future of humanity in; and that is Jesus Christ, his only begotten Son. There rest of us are only carrying a small portion of the work for the Kingdom of God. There are millions of faithful Christians who are working in God’s vineyard who have not bowed to the idols of this world! GOD’S REMNANT is reserved to rise and serve him at his calling, and are clothed with the mantle of Righteousness.  When the Ahab’s and the Jezebel’s of this world threaten to extinguish the very few righteous, high-profile Christian leaders in Christ.  God has an army ready to go on the battlefield in faith and hold up the Blood-stained Banner of Jesus Christ! God is never without a REMNANT and that is the reason Christianity will never be abolished nor extinct!

For those who are watching the unfaithfulness in the churches, and the idol worshipping as a religious practice.  We must remember that God knew about the great falling away. “Let no man deceive you by any means; for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition.”  Even so, God has reserved faithful followers to continue the work of Jesus Christ until the Angels come to preach the gospel of Christ. “And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people.” (Rev. 14:6). We cannot weigh the weight of Christianity by the number of backsliders, false prophets, and the decaying morality displayed by the multitudes of hypocrites. We must to always remember that God with never leave his Church without a witness. “Nevertheless, he left no himself without witness, in that he did good, and gave us rain from heaven, and fruitful seasons, filling our hearts with food and gladness.” (Acts 14:17). Therefore, we must always be ready and suited up for battle for our God and our Lord. If you have not bowed to idols, nor kissed idols, then I suppose you are part of GOD’S REMNANT. Amen and stay forever true and faithful to our God our King!

For the record, this is written for those who are keeping their faith in Jesus Christ! God bless you and amen!
