“Without wise leadership, a nation is in trouble; but with good counselors there is safety.” (Proverbs 11:14).

Is a leader’s heart right with God when he places pride above the fundamental needs of the people he is leading? Leadership is measured by the well-being of the people. If people are pressed down in fear and are combating uncertainty in their leaders. This nation is ROOTED IN TROUBLE. When a leader’s ideals are shrewdness and anarchy, this nation is ROOTED IN TROUBLE. Leadership with symptoms of chaos, habitual lying, synthetic agreements and wicked leadership devices, this is a NATION ROOTED IN TROUBLE. Leadership that is unable and unwilling to assimilate the whole nation is affecting the very balance of unity! God calls this leadership UNWISE AND IN TROUBLE AND UNSAFE. A leader whose heart is turned away from God will NEVER lead wisely.  When a leader, without God’s approval, declares himself almighty and all powerful, he deceives himself and the people who believe in him. Despite absolute evidence of the unbelievable evil nations are experiencing and demonic activity all around, there are still people who cannot see that an unwise leader is at the helm of a nation. When the nation’s safety is compromised in an unexpected way, maybe, just maybe, the foolish followers will come to THE ROOT OF A TROUBLED NATION.

In a nation where wisdom is not the primary decision maker and the only approach to human relations, we will see a lot of babies cut in half! (I Kings 3:16-28). Decisions that are based on lies, deceptions and self-righteousness, will surely bring a nation to civil war and famine.  The affairs of an unwise leader is as the devil himself! Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. (John 8:44). Therefore, the results of an unwise leadership are total chaos and tragedy to the quality of life of its people.  Are you seeing homelessness, joblessness, food lines and violence and injustice? Wherever I look there is oppression and bribery and men who love to argue and fight. The law is not enforced and there is no justice given in the courts, for the wicked far outnumber the righteous, and bribes and trickery prevail. This is manifestation of ungodly/unwise leadership.

Many nations are in horrible human rights conditions; and these conditions are justified by saying we are fighting for something better! “We can justify our every move, but God knows our motives.” In the meantime, all those in leadership feast daily without interruption, as well as, their relatives’ households.  While countless households are perishing at the expense of political ideals that won’t hold water! An unwise leader will always deny wisdom the opportunity to bring correction and peace to the nation’s meeting table. “The Lord hates the stubborn but delights in those who are good.” (Proverbs 11:20). Whoever finds wisdom finds life and wins approval from the Lord. A nation cannot not stand on hasty speculations because it will only bring poverty. If a leader is kind, honest and fair his leadership will stand secure.

The most fascinating point of unwise leadership is the unwise people who support such corruption! Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch. (Matthew 15: 14-16). It’s disturbing to watch foolish and hateful people commit social suicide. Hate is the breastplate of those who support corruption, racism and violence. “When there is moral rot within a nation, its government topples easily; but with honest, sensible leaders there is stability.” (Proverbs 28:2). The government that leads without wisdom will topple over and the whole nation will become a casualty of destructive leadership! But I must state this truth, it is quite possible that those who are supporting the unwise leaders, will receive their correction during this time of hardship. God’s people will stand on the SOLID ROCK, who is JESUS CHRIST!

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.” (Isaiah 9:6).  This is the banner of a wise and anointed leader, our Lord Jesus Christ, appointed by God almighty. I will not trust any leader who does not let God lead them. It is a disgrace to celebrate any person who has not removed them self from the forefront; and let the God who created heaven and earth lead them. This is God’s world and God’s people. Some leaders make the terrible mistake of believing that the people belong to them! Wrong! We all belong to God to do as he pleases with us!  For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth.” (Job 19:25). Many are ruled under unwise leadership and it may seem that the righteous have lost, but just keep your faith in God our Father. “Even though the fig trees are all destroyed, and there is neither blossom left nor fruit, and though the olive crops all fail, and the fields lie barren; even if the flocks die in the fields and the cattle barns are empty, yet I will rejoice in the Lord; I will be happy in the God of my salvation. The Lord God is my Strength, and he will give me the speed of a deer and bring me safely over the mountain.” (Habakkuk 3:17-19).

For the record, this is written for the wise and the unwise. The wise to stand faithfully through the rushing winds of injustice. The unwise to pray for wisdom and repentance; and come to the full knowledge of the truth in Jesus Christ. God bless you and amen!
