“Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: the scepter of thy kingdom is a right scepter.” (Psalm 45:6).

Prayer: Blessed Father, I approach your throne in reverence and in the name of Jesus, your beloved Son. It is through the power of the Holy Spirit that I can speak to you and hear you, my God of hope. I pray that your people will turn away from the world and see the righteous Ruler of all creation. Let every heart respond to your love and glory; and render complete praise to you for your goodness, mercy and grace! I thank you Father and I rejoice in your Spirit and your beloved Son, and my Savior Jesus Christ. Amen.

“If it were not for the Lord on my side, where would I be?” I can not see my way in this world without God. Man has limited power and understanding relating to creation and the harmony of the universe. Why then do we put so much trust a human being, who dies and returns to the dust? Where are the cures for the deadly diseases that are killing humanity? Where are the peace and justice that we cry for everyday? Why are millions of people starving to death at the hands of ruthless governments? Why have governments closed their eyes to God and his righteousness? What humanity needs is so much greater than a corrupted voting systems and rigged election results. The world needs a staff of righteousness! The world should not continue to lap up empty promises from weak and finite creatures. If we are to see true and everlasting righteousness, we must Hasten to the Throne of God!

Many are blind to the beauty and glory of God. It is the love of God that gives a heart everlasting peace and hope. I say, everlasting because God’s love and existence is infinite. God’s kingdom is founded on his love and righteous. God is not a “Maybe” king. God does not sacrifice his people to lift himself up! He is God all by himself and he doesn’t need to bruise anyone to fulfill his promises. “Touching the Almighty, we cannot find him out: he is excellent in power, and in judgment, and in plenty of justice: he will not afflict.” (Job 37:23). God’s word stands true and firm. What is written in God’s word is set forever! God has the power to execute his plans by his own authority and superiority. It is by God’s grace that we, mere dust, are privileged to share is his great plan of eternal life.

It is a blessing that man’s thrones do not last forever! When we glance at the history of the vicious rulers who genocides and enslaved millions. Even these, so called good leaders were not able to establish world peace and feed the countless number of people being tortured and starving to death. In God’s kingdom, we can expect nothing but righteous and everlasting joy. “They shall hunger no more, neither thirst anymore; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat. For the Lamb, which is in the midst of the throne, shall feed them and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.” (Revelation 7:16-17). This is the Kingship that man shall rejoice to be governed and loved. It doesn’t matter who is governing a nation upon this earth, their leadership will not and cannot match the kingship of God. I Hasten to the Throne of God!

Yes, it is true that we must live in this world and abide by the laws that govern us, no matter how unjust. We may have a political system which gives the people the power, on paper, to overthrow the leadership. However, the unrighteous leadership will not willingly vacate the office of power; due to a hunger for absolute control to destroy man’s soul and will! “When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.” (Proverbs 29:2).  God’s people must turn from the chaos of this world and look to God who will lead his people through the mine fields of injustice and hate! “These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. (John 16:33). Jesus stayed at the Throne of God! This is where God’s people should be every single day! We will not be able to survive the wickedness in this world without hasting to the Throne of God.

There are many who can see nothing wrong in the world because they are living in darkness. In fact, they look forward to the dysfunction of the world. How they love to strive for chaos, and rush to incite confrontations to keep the fires of hell burning! These are those whom Christians must take to the Throne of God in prayer. Truly, there will be an abrupt end to this “New Order” glorification. Those who hate God will shake their fist at God and curse him when their sufferings become real. This will be the results from disobedience and the love wickedness! “Distressed and hungry, they will roam through the land; when they are famished, they will become enraged and, looking upward, will curse their king and their God.” (Isaiah 8:21). These are those who refused to Hasten to the Throne of God!

It is not the world system that we should rush to for spiritual and human relief, but we should Hasten to the Throne of God. Where satisfaction is guaranteed! God is a supreme and righteous Ruler. God’s scepter is lifted in unconditional love and justice for all. “Come unto me, all we that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.  Take my yoke upon you and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.” (Matthew 11:28-30). There is no second guesting God because is always just!

For the record, this is written to encourage people to come to the Throne of God, where Jesus abides! Amen
